  • Prepaid Fixed Plans: Subscriptions do not auto-renew. Payment via Telebirr or CBE verified manually within 5 business hours.

1. About these Terms

These Terms govern access to and use of DawaMenu, including the website and dashboard, digital business pages and menus, QR/NFC links and designs, analytics, guest-feedback tools, subscription features, and any QR cards, stands, stickers, or other physical products we offer (together, the “Service”). By creating an account, checking the acceptance box, ordering a subscription, or using the Service as a business customer, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not create or use an account.

The person accepting these Terms on behalf of a business confirms that they are authorized to bind that business. “You” means the account holder and, where applicable, the business represented by that account.

Our Privacy Policy explains how personal data is processed. It is part of the legal information governing your use of the Service, but privacy choices and consent requests will be presented separately when required by law.

2. What DawaMenu provides

DawaMenu lets businesses create and manage a public business page, menu items and categories, optional menu-item images, business links and contact information, Google review links, guest Wi-Fi details, feedback forms, QR/NFC destinations, QR print designs, and usage analytics. Available features depend on the plan, account status, and settings displayed in the product.

We may add, change, or discontinue features. We will use reasonable efforts to give notice of material changes that significantly affect paid features, except where urgent action is needed for security, legal compliance, abuse prevention, or service stability.

DawaMenu is a software service. Unless a separate order says otherwise, we do not operate your restaurant, control the preparation or safety of food, guarantee your Google rating, or act as your payment provider for sales you make to diners.

3. Accounts and access

You must provide accurate account information, keep your credentials confidential, and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless caused by our failure to meet a duty imposed by law.

We may create an account for you as part of an onboarding service. If we provide a temporary username or password, change the temporary password at first sign-in and keep it secure. We will never ask you to send us your password, banking PIN, or one-time banking authentication code.

We may require email verification before some account functions are available. You must keep a working email address and other necessary contact details on the account.

Do not share accounts in a way that defeats access controls. If the Service supports additional team members and roles, you must grant only appropriate permissions and promptly remove access for people who no longer need it.

5. Your responsibilities and acceptable use

You agree to use the Service lawfully and only for a legitimate business purpose. You must not:

  • use the Service for unlawful, misleading, fraudulent, defamatory, infringing, or harmful activity;
  • upload malware, attempt unauthorized access, probe or disrupt the Service, scrape it abusively, bypass limits, or interfere with other tenants;
  • impersonate another business, publish content without permission, or misuse another person’s personal information;
  • use QR pages or guest contact details for spam, unlawful marketing, deceptive promotions, or unwanted tracking;
  • manipulate, buy, gate, or selectively solicit positive Google reviews; or offer rewards in exchange for Google reviews in a way prohibited by Google’s rules;
  • misrepresent prices, food contents, allergen claims, availability, opening hours, or other material business information.

We may remove content or limit access when reasonably necessary to investigate suspected abuse, protect people or the Service, comply with law, or enforce these Terms. Where practical, we will explain the reason and give you an opportunity to correct the issue.

6. Free trials

DawaMenu may offer a free trial for a period shown during account creation and in your dashboard. The available trial duration is controlled by DawaMenu and may vary by promotion or account. Your dashboard is the source of truth for your trial’s start and end dates.

Unless the signup flow clearly says otherwise, the trial starts when your account is created. We may require email verification to use the dashboard. We will show the trial end date and explain when paid access is required. A trial does not automatically become a paid subscription unless the checkout flow expressly says so and you separately agree to the relevant terms.

When a trial ends without an approved paid subscription, DawaMenu may restrict paid features and, after any grace period shown in your dashboard, may make the public business page unavailable. We will not intentionally delete a business’s content immediately solely because the trial ended. Data retention and export remain subject to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

We may limit one trial per business/person or prevent repeat trials where reasonably necessary to prevent abuse.

7. Plans, prices, and billing periods

Plan names, features, limits, billing periods, prices, discounts, and taxes (if applicable) are shown in the product before you submit a payment. DawaMenu may offer monthly, three-month, six-month, annual, or other periods. The offer shown at the time you select a plan and submit payment applies to that purchase.

Unless the checkout page clearly discloses automatic renewal and you expressly authorize it, subscriptions are prepaid fixed-term subscriptions and do not renew automatically. To continue paid access, you must manually choose a plan and submit a new payment before or after the current term ends.

Your paid term begins when DawaMenu approves and records your payment, unless your confirmation shows a different start date. Your dashboard must display the current plan, the period covered, the expiry date, and the applicable status.

8. Telebirr/CBE and manual payment verification

DawaMenu may accept payments by Telebirr, Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE), or other channels shown in the payment screen. Follow only the payment instructions shown inside your authenticated DawaMenu account or on an official DawaMenu invoice. If you suspect the details are fraudulent or inconsistent, contact support before transferring funds.

After transferring funds, submit the transaction/reference number and any receipt or screenshot requested in the interface. Do not upload your PIN, one-time password (OTP), full banking login credentials, or unrelated sensitive documents. You should redact unrelated personal or financial information where possible, provided the payment details required for verification remain visible.

A payment submission is pending until DawaMenu verifies it. Uploading a screenshot alone does not activate a subscription. DawaMenu aims to review a complete submission within five business hours. This is a service target, not a guaranteed deadline; review may take longer outside support hours, on public holidays, where the bank/provider is delayed, or where information is incomplete or inconsistent. We will show the status in your account and may request clarification.

If a payment is approved, we will record the paid period and update your subscription status. If it is rejected, we will provide a reason where reasonably possible and explain whether you can correct the details and resubmit. Never make a second transfer just because a review is taking longer without first checking the payment status or contacting support.

DawaMenu will never ask for your bank PIN or OTP to verify a transfer.

9. Cancellation, refunds, and failed payments

DawaMenu subscriptions are prepaid for a fixed period. Because the customer selects the plan and period before transferring payment, a subscription generally cannot be cancelled for a pro-rated refund after payment has been approved and the paid period has started. Not using the Service, failing to publish a menu, changing business plans, closing a venue, or choosing not to use remaining time does not by itself create a right to a refund.

This policy does not remove any non-waivable rights or remedies available under applicable law. We will review duplicate payments, payments made in error, verified payments that we fail to apply or activate because of our error, and other exceptional cases according to applicable law and the facts. Contact support with the transaction reference and evidence. Any approved refund will be made through a suitable method and may take additional time depending on the bank/payment provider.

Because subscriptions do not automatically renew unless expressly stated at checkout, there is no recurring charge to cancel. You can choose not to renew. Your current paid period remains active until its recorded end date, subject to these Terms.

For custom printed QR cards, stands, and other personalized physical products, cancellation may no longer be possible once you have approved the final proof and production has begun. If an item arrives damaged or materially differs from the approved proof, contact us promptly with photos and the order reference so we can investigate and provide a remedy where required by law or agreed in the order.

10. Expiry, suspension, and termination

When a trial or paid period expires, paid features may be restricted according to the status and grace period shown in your account. If an account remains unpaid, we may suspend public pages or dashboard features, but we will use a clear status message rather than intentionally breaking the QR URL structure.

We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, create a security risk, fail to pay an amount due, misuse the Service, or if we must do so by law. Where practical, we will provide notice and a reasonable opportunity to fix the issue. We may act immediately where necessary to prevent fraud, abuse, security harm, or legal violations.

You may request account closure by contacting temp3945@gmail.com. Closure does not automatically cancel a prepaid term for refund. We may retain limited records as required for legal, accounting, security, and dispute purposes. Content export, deletion, and recovery are subject to the Privacy Policy, the plan terms, and applicable law.

11. Intellectual property and feedback

DawaMenu and its licensors own the Service software, brand, platform design, and materials supplied by DawaMenu, excluding Customer Content and third-party materials. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service during the applicable trial or paid period, subject to these Terms.

12. Third-party services

The Service may link to or interact with Google Maps/Google reviews, Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp, Telegram, email providers, hosting/storage vendors, or other third-party services. Those services are controlled by their own providers and terms. DawaMenu does not guarantee their availability, content, ratings, or continued functionality.

13. Service availability and disclaimers

We aim to keep DawaMenu reliable and secure, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service. Maintenance, internet failures, third-party outages, payment-provider delays, or events outside our reasonable control may affect availability.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DawaMenu will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential losses, or for lost profits, lost business opportunities, loss of goodwill, or losses arising from inaccurate information you publish, third-party services, or the actions of your staff/customers.

15. Privacy and data processing

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data. Business owners are responsible for ensuring they have a lawful basis to publish personal information and collect guest feedback.

16. Changes to the Service or these Terms

We may update these Terms when the Service, business model, or legal requirements change. We will publish the new version with an updated effective date.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ethiopia, subject to any mandatory rights that apply. The parties will first try in good faith to resolve disputes by contacting support. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it may be brought before a competent court in Ethiopia.
